FILE CORPORATION REPORT

If you own a corporation, you must file reports with the New Mexico Secretary of State. These reports include information on the current status of your corporation. The required reports include:

  • Initial: The initial report must be filed with New Mexico Secretary of State Office within 30 days of date of incorporation.
  • Biennial: The biennial report must be filed every two years on or before the 15th day of the third month following the business's taxable year.
  • Supplemental: If a change is made in the corporation's address, name, registered agent, name or address of directors or officers, or principal place of business; a supplemental report must be filed within 30 days after the filing of the annual or biennial report.

To file a report, access the New Mexico Secretary of State website by selecting the CORPORATIONS AND BUSINESS SERVICES link. If you have not created an account, select Create User Account. NOTE: The account you create belongs to you, not the business. After you have created a login account, select Corporation from the top horizontal menu, and select the kind of report you wish to file from the pull down menu. Look up your business; complete and submit the report; and pay the fee.
