BUSINESS FORMATION DOCUMENTS
A business owner may require plain or certified copies of your business formation documents; e.g. Articles of Incorporation, Certificate of Incorporation, Approval Letter (for Corporation or Limited Liability Company), Articles of Organization, or Certificate of Organization. Copies of business formation documents are available online.
To obtain copies of business formation documents access the New Mexico Secretary of State website by selecting the CORPORATIONS AND BUSINESS SERVICES link. If you have not created an account, select Create User Account. NOTE: The account you create belongs to you, not the business.
After you have created a login account, select Corporations or Partnerships from the top horizontal menu, and select Certified Copy Requests or Plain Copy Requests from the pull down menu. Look up your business; follow the steps to request and pay for certified copies or print plain copies.
