RESERVE YOUR NAME
If you have selected a unique name and/or trademark and plan to start your business soon, a business name may be reserved for 120 days. However, the reservation cannot be renewed.
Specific rules apply to each business structure:
* Limited Liability Company (LLC): To reserve the name of your business complete an application form and a document delivery form. Select the APPLICATION FOR RESERVATION OF LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY NAMES link and the DOCUMENT DELIVERY FORM link for the forms.
* Limited Liability Limited Partnership (LLLP): To reserve the name for your business, submit a form that states the business name to be reserved. The name must contain the phrase "limited liability limited partnership" or the abbreviation "LLLP" or "L.L.L.P". Select the APPLICATION FOR RESERVATION OF LIMITED LIABILITY LIMITED PARTNERSHIP NAMES link for the form.
* Corporation: To reserve the name of your business complete an application form and a document delivery form. Select the APPLICATION FOR RESERVATION OF LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY NAMES link and the DOCUMENT DELIVERY FORM link for the forms.
