PROFESSIONAL LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

In New Mexico, practitioners must obtain special licenses before they are allowed to practice their profession. Often a practitioner must complete educational programs and pass required testing before obtaining a license.

To check whether your profession has licensing requirements, do the following:

  • Select the BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS – GET LICENSED link,
    • You will be on the Get Licensed web page, select the link on the profession related to your business,
    • You will be on the Requirements and Continuing Education web page,
    • Select the Forms and Applications link to submit an application,
    • Select the Fees link for fees to process an application.
    • Complete the related form and send it, your fee, and required documentation to the address listed on the form.

If you have questions concerning licensing for these professions, contact the New Mexico Regulation and Licenses Customer Service at (505) 476-4622 or select the CONTACT INFORMATION link for New Mexico Environment Department phone numbers.
